The hotel had an appealing appearance however there was a

lot of bugs outside on the sidewalks. The room was nice, but the beds were very firm. Breakfast options were decent, but the front desk staff at breakfast didn't restock promptly, which was disappointing given prior assurances.

Unfortunately, my stay was marred by cleanliness issues. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned properly, which was really disappointing. I had to request a room change due to the state of the first room, but the second was only slightly better. I expected more attention to detail for the price I paid, and this experience completely fell short of my expectations.

A suite with surprises

Unfortunately, the suite we were upgraded to had multiple issues—an unfixable TV and uncomfortable AC, which detracted from our overall experience.

I had a pleasant stay, with a clean room and comfortable beds that allowed for a restful night’s sleep. The staff were accommodating, especially towards my dog, which made the visit much smoother. However, the breakfast options were quite limited and could use some improvement.

The cheerful decor of the lobby made me feel welcomed immediately, with lovely seating areas that are so accommodating for my fellow seniors. Everything felt so well arranged and accessible, making it easy to navigate around.

More attention to room cleanliness, please.

We enjoyed our stay with plenty of room for our kids in the suite. The convenience of having a fridge and microwave was fantastic, allowing us to prepare snacks easily. The complimentary breakfast with eggs and potatoes kept us fueled for our adventures.

My kids wished there were more family-friendly activities available onsite.

This place suits me perfectly! The free Wi-Fi, off-site parking, and 24-hour reception are great. The staff went above and beyond to help my elderly parents during my first stay. Highly recommend staying here!

Not really for families

The staff were friendly like they were actually trying to help. The cleanliness of the hotel, at least in some common areas, was decent enough.

The Microtel Inn & Suites Cotulla has a friendly atmosphere, great amenities like free Wi-Fi, and helpful staff who went out of their way to assist during our stay. The room was comfortable and clean, making it a great spot to relax after a long day of traveling.

Could improve on breakfast variety.

The room contained basic but functional amenities, including a queen bed, decent shower water pressure, and a reassuringly strong air conditioning unit. The hotel sits in a convenient location, making it easy to find after a long day of travel.

A real bummer was the cleanliness of the bathrooms, which left a lot to be desired. Stained bedding and dirt on the carpets raised questions about housekeeping standards. The elevators weren't the most reliable, and the breakfast selection was pretty meager, lacking any standout options like fresh fruit or hearty proteins. To top it off, the vending machine was out of stock, so it's best to bring your own snacks.

It was just a suitable option for a short stayover in Cotulla with good value for cost. The breakfast options were limited, but they did replace the sour milk quickly when I brought it up. If you need a place for the night, this could do the trick.
